Dancing With Our Heroes is a unique event that pairs Military Heroes (wounded warriors and veterans) with local Fred Astaire dance professionals to compete at a fund-raising gala supporting Veteran charities and Veteran service organizations.

Dancing With Our Heroes was born out of the idea that dance can be an effective form of healing, physical therapy and confidence building. In 2012 Fred Astaire Dance Studios and FMI’s Operation Outreach worked to bring together professional dance instructors with Wounded Warriors at the San Antonio Center for the Intrepid. The results were amazing and Dancing with Our Heroes was born. 

Since 2012 Dancing with Our Heroes events have been held in cities across the nation.  FMI’s Operation Outreach has a mission to make Dancing With Our Heroes Gala a great fund raising event that impacts Veterans and their communities. We are an organization of veterans with a passion for helping veterans.

 FMI is proud to support the Professional Women’s Veterans Coalition. PWVC recently hosted a Professional Women’s Veteran Career Fair which was an outstanding success.

The Maui Warrior Appreciation Vacation was started by Farzad Azad working with local businesses around Lahaina, Maui. The mission of the Maui Warrior Appreciation Vacation is to thank veterans for their sacrifice and service to our nation by providing them a one week all expenses paid vacation.  Farzad is also the owner of Java Jazz and provides all the food and dining for the vacations.

Forward March Inc. and Farzad have formed a partnership to grow the Maui Warrior Appreciation Vacation program and increase its outreach.

For veterans such as J.P. Lane this vacation gives a chance at rest and relaxation in an amazing location as only Maui can offer.
